Worship, The Entrance to the Father’s House.
David
speaks of worship as our souls panting after God as a deer pants for the brook
(Psalm 41:1). There is two ways
that we can look at this verse. The first way is of someone who is dying of thirst.
He wants water more than anything in life.
He would pay the highest price possible for even a drop of water. That is the way it is with us.
We should have that kind of desire for the Spirit of God to come and be
present in our lives. We should
have the desire of a person dying of thirst constantly for the presence of God.
The
other way that we can look at this verse is to see it as a deer who was being
chased by another animal. The deer
would seek for a stream to cross, because then, the animal would lose its scent
and the deer would be free. We also
must have this sense of the power of worship.
When we begin to worship God, His presence comes upon us and Satan loses
our scent and we are safe and free from him. This
world of worship is the Secret Place that Moses speaks of in Psalms 91. He that
dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of
the Almighty. I will say of the
LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he
shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome
pestilence.. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most
High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague
come nigh thy dwelling. Jesus
has prepared a place for us in the Father’s House. John 14:1-3 says, Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe
in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were
not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that
where I am, there ye may be also. In
the Father’s House, there is everything you need.
If you need healing, deliverance or anything else, you can find it in the
Father’s House. Your
probably are asking, “Well, how do I enter the Father’s House?” The key is
found in Psalms 100:4. The Bible
says, Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise.
The
Hebrew word for thanksgiving is towdah. This
word means to throw out, to extend the hands.
This signals the attention of Heaven.
Thanksgiving has two parts to it. One
is remembrance. You put yourself in
remembrance of what God has done for you. Then
second is declaration. You declare
that God will continue to meet your needs.
The second key is praise. There
are two Hebrew words for this form of praise.
The first is tephillah. This
is the praise that incorporates all types.
It includes dancing and singing. The
second word is hallal. This means
to rave and boast. To be
clamorously foolish. The
third key is to bless the name of the Lord.
The Hebrew word for blessing is barak.
This word means to bow down before the Lord. Everything
that you need is found in the Father’s House.
God wants you to enter into His presence.
