Taking the Word to the World and the Cross to the Lost

Exciting!  Revival in Prineville or Brownsville?
********************************************************

It was difficult knowing where we were as the Spirit of God was moving upon the waters of His people.  At times we wondered if we were in Brownsville or Prineville?  Repentance and baptisms were like a flood in the currents of His will for the church.

It all started with Pastor Jim Donohue of the Prineville First AOG Church who was prepared for our team to come.  He had teams of prayer warriors interceding for the meetings and altar workers trained in personal ministry.  Pastor Jim had planned for out team to minister for four meetings but the Holy Spirit had other ideas!  Following are excerpts of happenings during the three weeks of "Revival in Prineville."

The Holy Spirit exploded on the youth

A van full of teenage girls from a youth home 40 miles away were bussed to the meetings.  All were from broken homes; all had issues such as drugs, rebellion, alcohol and homosexuality.  Deborah Gliebe was prompted to take them aside at the end of the first meeting, just to "talk" with them.  By the end of the first week, all but one became saved and many were baptized with the Holy Spirit.

A spirit of worship, dancing, and travail hit the teens in the revival.  Most
of the Christian teens had issues and came forward weeping tears of
repentance.  Many of their unsaved friends accepted the Lord, were baptized and received the Holy Spirit.

Bobby, a young teenager from a broken home, showed up in the meeting
suffering from drug abuse and immorality.  He didn't even know why he was there except his mother was attending the revival. That very service Bobby received personal ministry from all of the team, accepted the Lord and received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.  The next night Bobby shed his "druggie" clothes and feather earring and came dressed in sports coat and tie!  (Our God of transformation!)

An intoxicated teenage skater rolled into the sanctuary, not even knowing why he was there. He just felt compelled to come.  Before an hour had passed the skater sobered up and came forward to the altar call and received the Lord.

Testimonies of personal healings received in the meetings

Thelma Mecera, mother of the AOG, Youth Pastor Dan Mecera, was totally healed of fibromyalgia after Deborah ministered to her.  She had been suffering more than 7 years, had been reduced to sleeping alone and her church attendance was comprised of laying in a back room of the church where she was only able to listen.  After being healed, Her husband's heart felt testimony was, "I have the wife of my youth back!"

Team member, Rebecca Burcham, prayed for a 16-year-old boy who received his hearing.

Team member, Joyce Conlin and Terry Burcham, prayed with Gordon [from Bend, OR] for a woman that was not able to attend the meeting because of crushed ribs.  She showed up the next night totally healed!

A 15-year-old girl, slated to have open-heart surgery to close a hole in her
heart since birth, sensed that she had been touched by the Holy Spirit.  She thanked Deborah Gliebe for praying for her and receiving a healing of her heart.  At the next meeting,  she reported that her doctor could not find any hole and had cancelled the surgery.

Signs & wonders happened as 72 were baptized!

The Holy Spirit prompted the team to have a water baptism service on Friday night of the second week.  Nineteen candidates signed up for the baptism class held the morning, led by Pastor John Schenk, but 22 attended!  On Friday night, as the first person entered the water the "Fragrance of the Lord" filled the baptistery.   Oil, gold and then feathers appeared in the water during the baptismal services.  Many were "slain in the spirit" as they entered the water – many more as they got baptized.  The back room was filled with wet Christians laying side-by-side, still out under the power of the Holy Spirit!  It reminded us of a scene from a fishing boat after the "big catch!"  (The baptisms were caught on video and are available through the Well of Bethesda Ministries.  If you desire one, please email WOBethesda@aol.com for details)

Some received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit right while in the water.  At
one point in the service, the presence of the Holy Spirit was so strong in
the baptistery that the pastor and helper were both out under the glory – two additional men were required to hold them up in order to finish the baptism.  One woman, that had been a practicing witchcraft for 22 years, testified that the baptistery felt "electrified"  so much so that she saw demons shooting out of her as she stood in the water receiving ministry.

As each person to be baptized testified what the Lord did for him or her, a
spirit of repentance rested on that service.  Those convicted came forward
one-by-one to be saved and to seal their new walk with Jesus in water
baptism.  Wet clothes borrowed again and again.  Before the first night was over 34 people had been baptized and 14 more the next night!  The last series of meetings and the third week of revival, scheduled another baptism service again on Friday.  It started out much the same except with only three candidates but it ended with 25 receiving their baptism!   Jesus was so real!  It was Holy Ghost awesome!  All praise and Glory to God!
Revival is exciting!  Revival is reviving the soul unto God.  Igniting ones
spirit into unity with God's purposes.  Restoring one's faith in God through
Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Tearing out the roots of fear,
in all it's forms, and bring forth a warrior fit to honor the Master!  This
is for all of us; It's our destiny to serve in the army of the Lord and
overcome all the works of the devil.  All to the Glory of Jesus Christ!
