Greetings to you friends. I received this letter about how God has
touched youth in Stillwell, OK. God has taken a shy boy and turned
him into a leader.
This is such a blessing. I just had to pass it on. And....you do the
same. Look and see what just ONE person fired up and in love with Jesus can do!
GLORY!
Anyway, I told you I would send you some more info about the Student Prayer
Group at the High School. Well, it all started in February, when a group
of us went to Acquire the Fire in Tulsa. If you are not familiar with
that, it is a program created and hosted by Ron Luce, who is the Youth Pastor at
Willy Georges Church in Tulsa. It was so awesome. All who went, were
totally changed by the experience they had there with Jesus. Aaron Harris,
a 18 year old teenager from my church was a bashful shy "nobody" in
High school. One of those types that everyone sees, but no one really
knows. Well, that all changed. He got filled with the Holy Ghost at
Acquire the Fire and he also got filled with boldness like I have never
seen in a Young Person before.
The Monday after we got back, and they went back to school, he went into the
cafeteria at 7:30 A.M. and called for everyone's attention. He said that
he was tired of the devil reigning over his school, and he was ready to take
back what the devil has stolen. He announced that he was gonna go out to the
light pole in front of the cafeteria where everyone would see him and pray for
the school, students, teachers, and use warfare against the enemy. He
invited anyone who felt the same as he did to come out and join him. Well,
about ten others marched out there with them. It has continued everyday
since. Only at last Fridays meeting, they counted over 100 there with them, in
front of their peers and teachers, hand in hand praying to the Father.
Denomination has no meaning there. Kids from almost every church in
Stilwell are there. I think it is so awesome how they are standing
together fighting the devil. They are ridiculed and made fun of. One
girl even had a rock thrown at her that hit her in the head and made her
bleed. She just turned around and smiled at the girl who had thrown it and
turned back around and continued praying. Anyway, that is about all.
I think it is most encouraging.
God Bless,
Mike Dart
